Chapter 47 Rex's name

"Young boy, what is your name?" The elderly lady asked.

"My name is Rex." I replied.

"I see." The elderly lady replied with a smile.

Once we buried her friend. We headed back to town. She was extremely quiet, which is the most frightening.

I did not want her to completely breakdown once she got home. I took her to get her something to eat. There was not much in this town. We got a couple of ingredients.

We entered her and her friend's former house. I went into the kitchen to start cooking. I heard her crying over the sounds of cooking.

I kept myself in the kitchen. I knew she had to let some out and it was better to let her do it now. Otherwise, another burial would have to happen. I would rather not be there. It is not because I don't want to. It is that I would rather not have to bury her beside her friend.

A few hours later, I left her house. She enjoyed the cooking I did. I was glad because I helped someone in a bad time.

I went to the library and found the book I needed to start my Journey Quest. It was nothing much but it had a little knowledge for my first time cultivating. Since I had already read many more in-depth books. The information at the basic level was good enough.

I went outside and it was nearly 5 pm. My guardians and family were waiting for me with a smile. I gladly joined them.

Inside the village after Rex and his group left

"Everyone did you see the young man help her?" A young man asked.

"There is nothing that can be done. At least she can die in peace of mind." Another lady said.

Knowing that the elderly lady was about to die. They just wanted to wait and bury both of them together. Rex went on ahead and helped her bury her friend.

"What should we do? Her burial plot might have to be moved." A man exited a building.

"Let us see where they buried her friend."

The villagers all went out to find where Rex had buried the friend.

The elderly lady was surprised to hear that the villagers were wanting to bury the two together. She felt a wave of happiness.

She had not felt happy for years. She almost forgot what happiness was. She remembered all the good times she had with her late husband and now her late friend.

Upon seeing Rex's arrival, she felt that happiness is something that can always be something magical happening.

Seeing that Rex was genuinely helping her. She could not feel even better. He even went out of his way to fix her a delicious meal.

A sweet smile appeared on her face. She felt extremely happy that young people still care for the elderly. She began to write a letter.

"Young Rex,

I wish you the best life you can ever obtain. I hope your cultivation takes you to great heights and you make yourself known. I will spend the rest of my life spreading your name here in the lower realms. I will not last much longer but I hope you truly find a spouse that will support you and give you hope for a wonderful family. I am just an elderly lady that likes to rant on but may the Goddesses bless you and keep you away from all Evil that lives in the shadows.

The elderly laid her feather down and looked up to the dark sky.

"I am Amelia I pray to the Goddesses that I can reincarnate into a fine young woman and enjoy my time with my Soul Mate and friend. I hope to meet Rex again and introduce him to my husband and friend. I pray that you help me last long enough to spread Young Rex's name to the far ends of the lower realms."

Due to the elderly lady's cry, the Wyvern boss heard the prayer. He decided he would help spread his name for her.

"Just wait for it Rex. Your name will be all over the lower realms before you know what happens."

All the wyverns heard the demand from the Dragonborn. They immediately went to every crook and cranny to spread the name of Rex.

The elderly lady got some signs posted for her. The sign read, "Rex, the blesser of all people."

The wyverns made a sign for their boss. The sign read, "Rex, the best caretaker of all beasts."

The signs were nailed across the entire lower realm. It did not take more than five hours before every town, village, and mountain had a sign for Rex.

Young students who liked to get on before school. Adults who got off work in the late afternoon and who go in late at night. The college students who did not have to go to school or did not have any homework. All began to see the signs first.

They began to wonder who this Rex was. Most of them thought nothing of it at first. Slowly but surely, the name Rex appeared more and more frequently.

Everyone felt a sense to make a forum and learn about this Rex. People did not take it seriously until other people started posting the signs locations.

When they saw that the signs were all over the First Realm. Everyone felt a sense to try and contact the game developers.

They replied, "It is just a game. NPCs can do what they wish within the game."

This made most people mad. There were some that found this extremely funny and they were glad the game was made this way.

When the lower realm people woke up and saw the signs. Some people immediately knew who Rex was on the sign. They immediately began to pray to the Goddesses for Rex's safe journey and good cultivation.

For the elderly lady, she was overjoyed that the Goddesses heard her prayer. She began to pray even louder than the one she said last night.

"I, Amelia am extremely grateful for you Goddesses listening to my prayer last night. I continue to pray for Rex's safe journey and that I will reincarnate with my late husband and late friend to show them Rex. I pray that once Rex leaves this lower Realm, his name will continue to spread like wildfire. I," the elderly lady was pouring out tears of joy and happiness, "hope that each person who has," her chest started to tighten up, "put up the signs," she felt her right side go numb, "be given a chance," her vision started to go, "to be with Rex on his journey." She passed.

With a loud Thump, men started to rush into her home. They finally found her with the sweetest smile on her face.

The entire village went to the mountain. Each one swings a pickaxe at the giant rock. Finally a huge chunk comes off, it is carried to the elderly lady's grave.

Only one man was allowed to carve the gravestone. That was the Chief Villager. He slowly but surely carved the tombstone. He had known the elderly lady the longest and had planned this burial himself.

"I wish I would have had it my way. You were always a stubborn girl. Amelia," he cried, "I wish your reincarnation is truly one that brings you, your husband, and friend back together. Your smiling faces always bring happiness."

That night the burial took place. All the villagers looked at the tombstone and cried their hearts out.

"Amelia the happiest soul you ever met."

"This tombstone was bought by the young man named Rex. If not for him, this burial would have been forgotten through the ages."

For several generations, there was no other tombstone made unless the name Rex was on there. It only occurred one more time but that is for another time.
